russian forces shelled a kindergarten in Kherson region

On February 2, the russian military shelled a kindergarten in the village of Zolota Balka, Kherson region.

The press service of the Kherson regional military administration reported:

"The russian army destroyed another educational institution in the Kherson region.

"Today, a kindergarten in Zolota Balka, Beryslav District, was targeted by enemy artillery.

"Due to the enemy attack, the building suffered serious damage: the roof was damaged, the windows were broken, and the second floor of the kindergarten was partially destroyed."

The governor's office clarified that there were no victims.

Earlier, the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office reported that the bodies of people who died due to russian shelling were discovered and exhumed in the territory of the Stanislav community in the Kherson Region.

The bodies belong to residents of the Stanislav community, including a woman. All of them died in March-April 2022, when the russian military, violating the norms of international humanitarian law, shelled populated areas, the prosecutor's office notes.

The bodies of the deceased were sent for forensic medical examinations. Currently, a pre-trial investigation is ongoing into the violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder.

The regional military administration emphasized that on January 31, the russian invaders shelled the territory of the Kherson region 42 times with artillery, small arms fire, and mortars.

The aggressors shelled Kherson alone eight times, damaging the homes of civilians.
