American manufacturer promises more UAVs for Ukrainian Armed Forces

The leading American manufacturer "AeroVironment" will continue cooperation with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and provide the Ukrainian army with UAVs.

Deputy Ministers of Defense of Ukraine Volodymyr Gavrylov and Denys Sharapov held a meeting with the delegation of the American company "AeroVironment" Charles Dean and Bret Hash. This company specializes in manufacturing drones.

"Bilateral consultations were held within the framework of projects related to the supply of "AeroVironment" weapons for the needs of the Armed Forces and the company's interaction with domestic manufacturers of weapons and military equipment," the message said.

During the meeting, the results of past cooperation and plans for further actions were discussed. In particular, from February 24, 2022, the company provided Ukraine with about 900 unmanned aerial vehicles. They plan to increase their number in the future.

"We support Ukraine in this war because our common goal with the Ukrainians is to reduce the ranks of the russian army, which illegally invaded your land. We are ready to work with the Ministry of Defense and Ukrainian arms manufacturers in the framework of providing logistical assistance, as well as through other existing programs between our countries," AeroVironment Vice President Charles Dean said.

The Ministry of Defense plans to increase the purchase of drones from Ukrainian manufacturers in 2023. They want to allocate 20 billion hryvnias to this segment.
