Ukraine received modernized T-72B tanks from Moroccan army — media
The Moroccan army handed Ukraine about 20 T-72B tanks, which were modernized in the Czech Republic on the repair line of Excalibur Army workshops.
This is reported by the military media outlet Menadefense.
It is noted that the exact number of them is unknown, but twelve tanks could be seen during the trip of the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Petr Fiala, to the workshops of the Excalibur Army company in Sternberg, which was involved in their modernization.
In total, the Moroccan army had 148 T-72 tanks, 136 T-72B, and 12 T-72 BK tanks purchased from Belarus in two batches in 1999 and 2000 to counter Algerian armored divisions.
