High-ranking US officials called on Ukraine to temporarily refrain from new offensive — Reuters
The US called on Ukraine to temporarily refrain from launching a large-scale offensive. They are asking to wait for the completion of aid and the completion of military exercises.
Reuters reports this, Rubryka writes.
Speaking to Reuters, a senior US official said on condition of anonymity that the US urged Ukraine to wait for the last batch of American weapons and the end of the exercises.
He added that Washington is sticking to its decision not to provide Abrams tanks to the Armed Forces for the time being.
It is noted that the US refused to transfer M1 Abrams tanks to Kyiv, citing problems with maintenance and logistics.
