USAID is strengthening digital support for Ukraine
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is actively developing a new major project to support the digitalization of Ukraine. It will support the development of "Diia" (Ukraine's e-governance app — ed.) in other countries.
This was announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov, on Telegram following a meeting with USAID Administrator Samantha Power.
"We held a landmark meeting with USAID Administrator Samantha Power. We also jointly presented the digital experience of Ukraine to government representatives of European, South American, and African countries.
Our innovations in providing services — mobile-first, digital documents, automatic services without an official, mobile signature, the state-targeted payments in Diia, etc. are causing great interest and demand among other states. More than 10 countries are actively studying and planning to borrow the experience of Ukrainian Diia," the minister wrote.
According to the results of Davos, USAID plans to allocate 650,000 dollars for the formation of an approach to the distribution of Ukraine's digital experience and the Diia mobile application to other countries.
In addition, USAID is actively developing a new major project to support the digitalization of Ukraine, Fedorov added.
