Finland announces new military aid package for Ukraine
Finland has announced its 12th military aid package for Ukraine, which is several times larger than all the previous ones.
The Ministry of Defense of Finland reported this.
These matters will be on the agenda today in Ramstein where the defence ministers of 🇫🇮 and 🇸🇪 are to sign a Statement of Intent on support for Ukraine.
Parts of the current Finnish defence materiel package to Ukraine is possible thanks to closer 🇫🇮 🇸🇪 bilateral cooperation.

The estimated cost of all the aid that Finland has provided to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war, together with this package, is 590 million euros.
"The package of weapons we are sending now is the largest of all that has ever been. Finland provides heavy weapons and ammunition," said Defense Minister Mikko Savola.
For security reasons, the detailed contents of the package and the estimated time of arrival of these weapons in Ukraine are not disclosed. The minister noted that it was formed taking into account the requests of Ukraine and what Finland could provide from its existing reserves.
The provision of some of these weapons was made possible thanks to bilateral cooperation between Finland and Sweden: on January 20, the countries will sign a bilateral declaration, which stipulates that Sweden will, if necessary, help Finland compensate for what it transferred to Ukraine.
The Ministries of Defense have thought about what and in what amounts they can give to Ukraine so as not to jeopardize their defense capability.
