Nobel Peace Prize laureate called for modern weapons for Ukraine

On the sidelines of the economic forum in Davos, the head of the Center for Civil Liberties organization, Oleksandra Matviychuk, who received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2022, called for more modern weapons for Ukraine.

"We must put an end to this impunity. We must establish an International Tribunal and bring putin, Lukashenko, and other war criminals to justice.

I would like to conclude by saying that, perhaps, it will sound strange from a human rights lawyer, but I am asking to provide Ukraine with modern weapons.

Because a democracy must have the ability to defend itself because we are fighting for freedom from every point of view, in every aspect, and we live in a very interconnected world. And only the expansion and spread of freedom makes our world safer," Matviychuk stressed.
