Rescuers finish 69-hour search operation at Dnipro rocket attack site: 44 died, including 5 children

Dnipro announced the completion of search and rescue operations at the site of a russian missile attack on a high-rise building. 44 people died, including five children.

Rescuers noted that as of 1:00 p.m. on January 17:

• 44 people died, including five children
• 39 people were rescued, including six children.
• 79 people were injured, including 16 children.

According to the Deputy Head of the President's Office, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, 47 reports of missing people were received. Of these, 23 people were identified as dead, and four were found alive with relatives or at hospitals.

The search for people lasted 69 hours.

As Rubryka reported, due to a rocket attack on a high-rise building in Dnipro on January 14, the number of dead increased to 44 people.

Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov announced this in the morning on Facebook.

The explosions in Dnipro occurred during a massive russian attack on Ukraine on January 14. The russians hit an apartment building.

According to the deputy head of the President's Office, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, the affected nine-story building had 16 entrance sections and approximately 1,700 residents. The entire house is left without electricity, gas, or windows.

Rescue operations are ongoing around the clock. They involved more than 500 people and more than 90 pieces of equipment. Psychologists of the State Emergency Service also work on site.

In Dnipro, since January 15, a three-day mourning period has been announced for those who died due to a russian missile attack on a residential high-rise building. It is known that 72 apartments were destroyed, and more than 230 were damaged.
