Ukraine's army will do everything possible to end the war in 2023 – UA intelligence

Ukrainian defenders will do everything possible to end the war this year, but everything depends on international support and pressure on the russian federation.

The press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported this on Telegram, citing an interview with the representative of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Vadym Skibytskyi, to Corriere della Sera.

"We will do everything possible so that the war ends this year. It also depends on how economic affairs are going in russia and whether the economic pressure remains high. And that the support of Ukraine from the international community remains, and russia is increasingly isolated," he said.

In particular, the intelligence representative noted that the temperature continues to drop so that the russians may launch a new attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure today or tomorrow.

According to Skibitskyi, "unilateral ceasefires" mean nothing. putin is thus trying to test the reaction of Ukrainians and the international community.

He said that before the New Year, during the attacks, the russians used only 20 missiles. Currently, the russian federation has only 90 Iskander missiles left.

In addition, during the interview, Skibitskyi noted that the Iranian drones Mohajer-6 and Shahed, which the russian federation uses, are made of elements and components from different countries. The Defense Intelligence informed all involved countries about this problem so that these components no longer reach russia

Answering questions about the recent destruction of many russian occupiers in Makiivka, Skibitskyi noted that this was part of Ukraine's counteroffensive, which began in August. He added that there would be other attacks on the enemy.

In addition, a representative of Ukrainian intelligence reported that russia was preparing a new wave of mobilization. Over the past two weeks, the russians have taken many men not only to the east but also to the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions of Ukraine.

Responding to questions about a possible russian offensive from the north, Skibitskyi noted that russia currently does not have enough troops for it. Probably, Belarus will be used mainly as a base for reorganizing troops, Skibitskyi said.
