NASAMS, IRIS-T, Crotale anti-aircraft missile complexes, Gepard anti-aircraft self-propelled guns, and other systems provided by partners are effectively working for Ukraine's victory over russia.
The commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykola Oleshchuk, announced this according to the Air Force Telegram.
He states, "The Air Force continues to defend the Ukrainian state, conduct anti-aircraft battles, destroy hundreds of targets, including cruise missiles, and attack UAVs. Western weapons, which our anti-aircraft fighters have mastered as quickly as possible and have already proven their effectiveness, play a significant combat role."
Oleshchuk emphasized that "today's anti-aircraft missile complexes NASAMS, IRIS-T, Crotale, Gepard anti-aircraft self-propelled guns and other systems provided by partners are effectively working for our Victory."
"Only since September 11, 2022, almost 500 cruise missiles of the occupiers and more than 540 Iranian attack drones have been destroyed," the commander added: "We are currently waiting to receive the Patriot air defense system."
"Yes, this number is not enough," he emphasized, "but these are the first steps towards creating a reliable, modern, and effective air defense system in the state."
According to Oleshchuk, "certainly, receiving a multi-purpose aircraft with a wide range of weapons from our Western partners will immediately affect the course of hostilities, give quick results in the de-occupation of our territories and bring our Victory closer."
