Occupiers are trying to replace Ukrainian staff at ZNPP with their own workers

The russian invaders continue to bring their personnel to the Zaporizhzhia NPP, seeking to replace Ukrainians who refuse to cooperate with them.

Dmytro Lubinets, the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, reported this on Telegram.

"Problems at the ZNPP still exist! russians continue to bring their personnel to the captured Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. In this way, they want to replace those Ukrainians who refuse to work for the occupiers," he noted.

In particular, according to the ombudsman, the invaders plan to appoint Dmitriy Minyaev, an official of the special security department of Concern Rosenergoatom joint-stock company, which is a subsidiary of Rosatom, to the position of deputy director of ZNPP for physical protection and regime issues.

As Lubinets noted, since the beginning of the seizure of the NPP, the russians have been forcing its workers to sign contracts with Rosatom. Still, the Ukrainians refuse to do so, and most workers, despite pressure and threats, have not betrayed Ukraine.

"Once again, I emphasize that the problem at the ZNPP is not only a problem of Ukraine but the whole world. Therefore, the international community should do everything in order for russia to withdraw its military and divert the nuclear danger from the world," the ombudsman emphasized.

russian troops captured Zaporizhzhia NPP on March 4. Since then, the invaders have placed military equipment and ammunition on the station's site, constantly shelling both the surrounding area and the station itself, destroying power lines, and causing external power outages. The enemy blames the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the shelling they committed.
