The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, and the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, had the first telephone conversation of the new year; the main topic of the conversation was further support for Ukraine.

Rubryka informs about this, referring to the Twitter and Telegram of the two countries' leaders.

"We count on concrete steps by partners to maximize Ukraine's reinforcement at the next Ramstein, " the President wrote on Twitter.

Zelensky noted that he informed Rutte about the risks of escalation at the front and the challenges that Ukraine may soon face, as well as about current defense needs.

"Had a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte. Talked about the risk of escalation at the front and potential challenges, as well as about our defense needs for an adequate response. We are counting on concrete steps from our partners to maximally strengthen Ukraine at the nearest Ramstein," the Head of the Ukrainian state noted.

The Prime Minister of the Netherlands stated that Ukraine has been resisting open russian aggression for almost a year.

"The coming months will be decisive. I just spoke with Volodymyr Zelensky and assured him that the Netherlands would do everything possible to ensure that Ukraine can not only resist but also win the war," Rutte said.

We will remind that Zelensky had his first conversation of the new year with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
