Cherry blossom in January: photo report from abnormally warm Kyiv

On January 1, 2023, abnormally warm weather was recorded in Kyiv. For the first time in 143 years of observations, the average daily air temperature was +10.3°. Such indicators correspond to the April temperature.
Frosts are already forecast for January 5-6, and in the meantime, cherry blossoms have blossomed in Kyiv, and the townspeople have changed their winter jackets to raincoats and shorts. Rubryka's correspondent captured the abnormally warm Kyiv in January in his photo report. And it begins, of course, with the sakura blossoming in Natalka Park.
While people are thinking about global warming, animals are enjoying the opportunity to bask in the sun for a few extra days.
People do not deny themselves extra warmth, either. During the period of power outages and heating, many people prefer to walk outside.
