Officials of US, UK, France and more, react to new russian missile strike

The ambassadors of the United States of America and Great Britain reacted to russia's massive morning missile attack on Ukraine.

"The Kremlin continues its escalating campaign of missile attacks, cruelly wielding cold & dark against Ukraine. Families are again hunkering down as critical infrastructure & other targets across the country are attacked. Thankful for skill of Ukraine's air defense – Ukraine will prevail!" the US Embassy commented.

Also, in her message, British Ambassador Melinda Simmons noted that the continuation of massive strikes once again testifies to the Kremlin's lack of real intentions to negotiate peace.

"Russia rejects President Zelensky's peace plan. Russia does not want peace with Ukraine. Russia wants the subjugation of Ukraine," the ambassador stressed.

In addition to the ambassadors of these two countries, Moldovan President Maia Sandu and French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna also condemned the missile strike.

We will remind you that previous mass attacks repeatedly led to power outages in Moldova, whose energy system is closely connected to the Ukrainian one.

Also, several times, on December 5 and October 31, rocket fragments fell on the border territory of Moldova.

"Russia continues its campaign of systematic strikes on civilian infrastructure this morning, with more than 100 missiles. A record. According to international law, each of these actions against civilians constitutes a war crime," the French minister stated.

Estonian PM Kaja Kallas responded to the Dec 28 attack, calling for more military aid for Ukraine.

"While Russia wants to make the world believe it seeks peace, in reality, it continues its massive war crimes against Ukrainians. The way to peace is to help Ukraine win and scale up military aid," she said.
