President Zelensky delivered his annual message in Verkhovna Rada
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, spoke for almost an hour in the Verkhovna Rada with his annual message to much applause.
People's deputy Oleksiy Honcharenko reported this.
The People's Deputy published video fragments of the President's speech and the main theses that were heard.
In particular:
- The principles we must adhere to now are unity, security, and justice.
- State security is not a state that can be achieved once and for all. This is difficult work, a process.
- Ukraine cements the EU and the free world with its struggle.
- Ukrainian soldiers are a guarantee that the time of empires will not return.
- We will develop relations with the countries of Africa and the global South for the sake of food security.
- We must become leaders in the transformation of our energy industry. We will become leaders in the construction of green energy.
- The Ukrainian military-industrial complex will be one of the most progressive.
- russia will be held accountable for war crimes. A mechanism is being developed.
- Ukraine is on its way to victory, which all our generations dreamed of. We will have everything that was not achieved before.
- There should be an international tribunal for war criminals of the occupiers.
- More than 1.2 trillion hryvnias were allocated to defense for the year.
- Since the beginning of the war, Ukraine has already returned 1,456 people.
Honcharenko said that, in addition to Zelensky, the government was present at the meeting in full, as well as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Valerii Zaluzhnyi, foreign diplomats, military personnel, and family members of the fallen defenders.
After the speech, there was also an award ceremony for the military.
It should be noted that the performance was postponed for an hour and a half due to an air alarm in Kyiv. In total, it lasted 52 minutes.
