Ukraine intends to create combat drones to attack russian drones

Ukrainian specialists are researching the development of drones that can resist and shoot down the attack drones of the russian invaders.

This was announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov in an interview with the Associated Press, writes ABC News.

He said that Ukraine has already purchased about 1,400 UAVs, mainly intended for reconnaissance (in particular, Fly Eye), and now seeks to increase the number of combat drones that will be able to attack the drones of the russian military.

"The next stage, when we are already more or less equipped with reconnaissance drones, are strike drones. These are both explosive drones and drones that fly at a distance of three to ten kilometers and hit targets," Fedorov explained.

The minister is convinced that in the future Ukrainian fighters will perform more tasks using combat drones, but he did not specify the details.

"We are talking about UAVs, which we are developing in Ukraine. In any case, this will be the next step in the development of technologies … I can already say that in February-March, the situation with drones will change radically," he emphasized.
