Hungary's Prime Minister believes US should stop providing Ukraine with money and weapons to end war
The Ukrainian people can fight russia as long as the United States of America supports them with weapons and money.
This is what Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán thinks and said about it in a Christmas interview with Magyar Nemzet.
Viktor Orban once again confirmed Hungary's position that a ceasefire is necessary in Ukraine's war with russia, followed by peace negotiations.
"Ukraine can continue to fight only as long as the USA supports them with money and weapons. If the Americans want peace, then there will be peace," he said.
Regarding Hungary's position, he noted that his country is "pro-Hungarian." "Our answer to the question of whether we are on the good or bad side of history is that we are on the Hungarian side of history," he explained.
"We support and help Ukraine, we are interested in the survival of sovereign Ukraine, and we are interested in russia not posing a threat to the security of Europe. But we are not interested in surrendering all our economic relations with russia," the Prime Minister emphasized.
Orbán also noted that this year was the most dangerous in the last thirty years.
The Prime Minister emphasized that Hungary faced the danger of being drawn into the war in Ukraine. In his opinion, the rise in energy prices is also pushing the country in a dangerous direction.
It will be recalled that earlier, Viktor Orban repeated his statements that, in his opinion, peace in Ukraine would be most facilitated by negotiations between russia and the USA.
