russia has enough missiles for two or three more massive attacks – UA intelligence chief

The russian federation will have enough missiles for two or three more massive attacks, and they will run out.

Ukraine's Defense Intelligence Chief Kyrylo Budanov gave such a forecast in an interview with LIGA.net.

"The number of (russian – ed.) missiles left – if we take their calculations purely mathematically – with their intensity, an average of 70-75 missiles will be enough for two or three times. And they will run out altogether," said Budanov.

He said that if you look at the intensity of russia's missile attacks, the russian federation carried out these terrorist attacks against critical infrastructure objects once a week at first, then once every ten days, then once every two weeks. Now it is even longer.

"This period is increasing due to only one problem: the rapid reduction of the russian missile arsenal. Their industry is not able to cover the amount they spend. Despite all their efforts, it is unrealistic,"  the head of Ukrainian intelligence added.

Budanov also explained why russian was saving Kindzhal missiles. According to him, there were only 47 of them at the beginning of the war. "During this time, they could make several while there were spare parts. It's not serious. You can scare the world with the fact that you have Kindzhal missiles. But when you start using them for real, what's next? You can make 47 hits. For understanding, more than 900  Iskander missiles were used," Budanov said.

Kindzhal missiles are almost impossible to produce now since the russians cannot get many components due to sanctions. Parallel import makes it very difficult and increases the delivery time of these parts. And despite everything, the russians still cannot get some components, Budanov explained.

The intelligence chief also noted that the russian army has almost identical problems that Ukraine faces – the problem with artillery shells. Just as we had issues with high-explosive fragmentation shells for tanks, so did they. The same is true of anti-aircraft missiles.

"Now, the russians are also looking all over the world for where to buy 122 and 152 mm projectiles, tank high-explosive shells, and rockets for the Grad and Uragan MRLS," Budanov said.

He said that certain countries are ready to help the russian federation, but in many cases, they sell weapons through third countries.

However, Kyrylo Budanov also stated that Iran still didn't hand over a single missile to the russian federation.

He reported that Iran, in addition to Shahed-136 and Shahed-131, provided the russian federation with a large Mohajer-6, similar to Bayraktar in terms of tactical and technical characteristics. russia is trying to "buy ammunition from them (Iran – ed.) and wants the Iranians to sell ballistic missiles. However, Iran has never handed over a single missile."

Regarding China, Budanov noted that "China has not transferred any weapons either. And will not, as far as we understand."
