Netherlands granted €200 million loan to Ukraine
Ukraine received a loan of 200 million euros from the Netherlands through the mechanism of the administrative account of the International Monetary Fund.
The press service of the Ministry of Finance reported this.
"Today, December 20, Ukraine received EUR 200 million in credit funds from the Netherlands through the mechanism of the International Monetary Fund's administrative account," the message reads.
The loan was granted on preferential terms, in particular: interest is accrued on the loan amount at an annual interest rate equal to the IMF basic rate of charge (IMF basic rate of charge, fixed at 3.641% per annum).
The final repayment of the loan is carried out 10 years from the date of loan selection (taking into account the grace period of deferment of loan repayment for a period of 4.5 years from the date of loan selection).
Credit funds are intended for financing expenditures of the general fund of the state budget.
Reference
In April 2022, the IMF decided to create an administrative account for crediting funds in the form of a share of Special Drawing Rights (SDR) from donor countries in favor of Ukraine.
All funds raised must be directed to support Ukraine's financial stability through grants or credits (loans).
