russia’s massive missile attack Dec 16: 60 launched, explosions reported all over Ukraine

The morning of December 16 began with an air raid alert throughout Ukraine.

The head of the Mykolaiv regional military administration, Vitalii Kim, announced the russians launched about 60 rockets. Telegram channels report the launch of russian Kh-101 missiles.

The enemy is targeting the Ukrainian energy system. Representatives of local authorities are warning residents about the possibility of long-term power outages. 

Explosions continue in many regions and cities of Ukraine:

▫️ Kirovohrad region

▫️ Vinnytsia

It was also reported on the work of air defense forces in the Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kirovohrad regions.

The occupiers inflicted three blows on the critical infrastructure of the Kharkiv region.

The head of the Kharkiv regional military administration reported this.

According to preliminary information, there are no victims.

Currently, Kharkiv is left without electricity. There are also communication problems.

In Kyiv, explosions were heard in three districts of the capital. Explosions in Desnianskyi district, Dniprovskyi district, and Holosiivskyi district.

In connection with this, the subway was stopped entirely in Kyiv. Underground stations work as shelters. Once the air alert is over, the metro should resume regular operation.

Missiles struck in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region. Oleksandr Vilkul, the head of the Kryvyi Rih military administration, reported this on Telegram.

"Kryvyi Rih. There are missile strikes. We don't film anything or post it on social media," he said.

Later, it was reported that a russian rocket hit a residential building in Kryvyi Rih. This is reported in the Office of the President.

There may be people under the rubble.

This morning, the russians have already launched 12 rocket attacks on Zaporizhzhia, the secretary of the Zaporizhzhia City Council reports.

In many regions of Ukraine, there is no electricity, water, or heat due to russian shelling.
