On December 16, during a massive missile attack, russian troops tried to wear down Ukrainian air defense. For this, the invaders used aviation from various directions and not only.
Natalia Humeniuk, Head of the United Coordinating Press Center of Security and Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine, announced this on the air of the telethon.
"Today's missile attack by the enemy's scattered forces tried to exhaust the air defense because strategic aviation was also used from different directions, and the missile carrier was launched to the sea, which was not there in the morning. It was what we reported — that they could use such maximum resources available at the moment," Humeniuk said.

We will remind that in the course of a massive missile attack on Ukraine, russian troops fired 76 missiles, 60 of which were destroyed by Ukrainian forces.
Note that 40 missiles were fired at the capital alone, but 37 enemy targets were hit.
The enemy attack damaged power system facilities in the south, east regions, and capital. Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Zhytomyr, and Kharkiv regions were under attack.
"Ukrenergo" announced an emergency situation in the power system, and emergency power outages once again covered all regions.
