Ukrposhta has opened pre-order for New Year's stamps
Ukrposhta announced the launch date of New Year's stamp sales. It will be possible to buy it already on St. Nicholas Day.
The general director of the postal operator Igor Smelyansky announced this.
The head of the company noted that at the same time, it is possible to place pre-orders starting from December 15.
"It's snowing outside the window, and I really want a little bit of New Year's mood so that it's white snow, not gray 'geraniums.'"
Our air defense is successfully fighting the latter, but in order to prepare for a new, confident, victorious year, and, by the way, to congratulate our military, today we are starting pre-orders for our official New Year's stamp," Smelyansky wrote.
The head of the company emphasized that "Ukrposhta" finalized the stamp sketch, taking into account the citizens' advice.
We will remind you that in the competition for the best New Year's stamp sketch, the illustration "Separated by War" won, the author of which is an 11th-grader Valeria Mykhaylova from Mykolaiv.
As Smelyansky said, several symbolic elements were added to the final sketch: a battlefield covered with snow and lit candles in the window.
"However, the main message remains unchanged — the war separated many Ukrainians and created borders where joy and laughter reigned even last New Year.
But despite this, we believe that the year 2023 will turn everything 180 degrees and the miracle called "Victory" will become not just a dream, but another birthday of our country," the director of "Ukrposhta" stressed.
The New Year's stamp will be issued in a small print run of 720,000 (120,000 sheets). A "Merry Christmas" art card and a "Happy New Year!" envelope were also added for a complete set.
You can buy a stamp at the physical branches of "Ukrposhta" from December 19 and pre-order today by clicking on the link.
