Power plants will be equipped with sensors able to detect missiles and drones: why we need the solution

Special cameras and sensors that will be able to detect enemy missiles and drones will be installed at Ukrainian power plants.

This was stated by the head of the National Police in the Kyiv region, Andrii Nebytov, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reports.

What is the problem?

It was previously reported that Ukraine continues to suffer a significant electricity shortage, which is generally complicated by weather conditions: snow, ice, and strong gusts of wind.

What is the solution?

Nebytov noted: "We are working on installing special cameras and sound sensors that will protect power plants, detect objects such as drones or missiles at a certain distance, and notify the air defense forces about them. We are on the path of development because the capital is behind us, and this is exactly the place for safety innovations".

How does it work?

He also noted that video surveillance equipment has already been installed in the Chornobyl nuclear power plant zone, which is not yet available in Ukraine. Thanks to them, law enforcement officers can see and record the situation even at night, observing all movements.
