Ukrainian polar explorers shared video showing birth of subantarctic baby penguin

Ukrainian polar explorers staying at the Vernadsky Research Base constantly talk and share photos and videos about the life of their neighbors from the animal world, particularly subantarctic penguins.

Rubryka writes about this, referring to Instagram.

Earlier, Ukrainian researchers showed how a subantarctic penguin lays an egg, and now scientists have shown how chicks are born.

Polar scientists published a video of this touching moment.

On it, you can see how a subantarctic penguin hatches from an egg guarded by an adult penguin.

According to polar explorers, adult birds nest near the Akademik Vernadsky station.

Biologists Marta Dzyndra and Sergii Gogol filmed the moment of birth of the next generation of penguins.

"The process of "birth" lasts several hours, so the researchers filmed it one by one, and the most interesting moments were collected in a short video by sysadmin Volodymyr Khomko," the polar explorers say.

According to the researchers, a real baby boom began at the Akademik Vernadsky station in December.
