US sends first batch of energy equipment to Ukraine

The United States sent the first batch of energy infrastructure equipment to Ukraine

Reuters reports, citing sources.

The publication says the USA sent energy infrastructure equipment worth $13 million to Ukraine.

Another agency source said two more planes carrying the equipment would leave the United States this week.

The equipment was sent from a US military base, the agency writes.

The first tranche is part of $53 million in aid announced last month after Ukraine said it needed transformers, generators, and air defense systems.

Earlier, the USA announced that it was preparing to allocate a new aid package to Ukraine to resist russian aggression.

We will remind you that the USA, Great Britain, Germany, France, Latvia, Japan, the Czech Republic, and others allocated funds to Ukraine to restore the energy infrastructure and transfer generators or transformers.

Germany has promised to provide Ukraine with 470 power generators of various capacities with a total cost of 19.5 million euros.

Estonia also handed over 11 more buses with generators and energy equipment to Ukrainian cities.

France transferred 100 medium power generators. And the Netherlands announced the provision of transformers, switching components, and cables.

As Rubryka wrote, Canada will give Ukrainian energy companies 50 lighting towers, making it easier for specialists to repair the network at night.
