Ukraine's army strikes logistically critical bridge near russia-occupied Melitopol: details
After the Ukrainian defenders attacked the logistically-critical bridge, causing damage to the structure's supports, traffic across the bridge was stopped between the temporarily occupied city of Melitopol and the village of Kostiantynivka in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Rubryka reports, referring to the Telegram of the Ukrainian army and the Telegram of the mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov.
russian publications report that an investigative team is working at the scene.
The attack was recorded on the bridge between the temporarily occupied city of Melitopol and the village of Kostyantynivka, Melitopol district in the Zaporizhzhia region.
"There was an attack on the bridge between Melitopol and Kostiantynivka. We want to add that our artillery is now hitting various locations in the Zaporizhzhia region.
It will be hot, although the occupiers are hot already," the military said.
According to unofficial information, the russian army used this bridge to transport military equipment and replenish troops.
"The ruscists have another evening disco. There are reports of explosions from Tokmak, Mykhailivka, and the suburbs of Melitopol. We are waiting for confirmation from the General Staff," Fedorov wrote.
The leader of Melitopol added that the bridge connecting the city with the village of Kostyantynivka was "tired" in Melitopol.
"This is one of the strategically important bridges after the Crimean bridge. It was through it that the occupiers transported military equipment from the eastern direction," the city's mayor emphasized.
Earlier, Fedorov reported that at least three places of concentration of the russian military were destroyed in the night from Saturday to Sunday.
Later, a video of the destroyed bridge appeared on social media.
As Rubryka reported, since the beginning of russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the russian army has lost a total of more than 95,200 soldiers, about 500 invaders in just one day.
