Attack from Belarus should not be expected now — Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council Secretary
Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security Council, believes that an attack from Belarus should not be expected because the Belarusians do not want to fight with Ukraine.
He said this on the air of all-Ukrainian telethon, Ukrinform reports.
"We are aware of what is happening there. Indeed, there were exercises there today. We were informed that they would take place there. And this is not a sudden thing for us. We are ready for any development of events: if the russian federation together with the Belarusians will carry out certain acts of aggression," Danilov said.
At the same time, he noted that the Belarusians have no desire to repeat the fate of the russians.
"They (Belarusians – ed.) know how it can end for them; they see how many russians – thousands – we pack up every week to bury them on their territory. They don't take some of them away at all," Danilov said.

The Secretary of the National Security Council also noted, answering questions about the President of Ukraine's proposal to withdraw russian troops from Ukraine by Christmas, that this should not be expected.
"Of course, there may be some miracles at Christmas, but, unfortunately, this does not apply to russia. We understand that they will not go anywhere… But we will force the enemy to leave our entire territory, including Crimea," Danilov emphasized.
