Nestlé invests 40 million dollars to open new factory in Volyn region

Food manufacturer Nestlé is investing $39.4 million in opening a new production facility in Smolyhiv, Volyn Region.

Forbes reports this.

The media outlet notes that the Swiss company has decided to expand vermicelli production in Ukraine.

Together with the factory in Torchyn, the production network in Volyn will become the company's European regional hub for culinary products.

1,500 people will be employed at the production facility, ensuring the supply of products to the Ukrainian market and other European markets.

"This is an important step for Nestlé, taken at a very difficult time for the country. We aim to create a hub for the production of food and culinary products, providing additional jobs and meeting the needs of Ukrainians and citizens of other European countries for high-quality products," the CEO of Nestlé in Ukraine and Southeast Europe Alessandro Zanelli said.

In March, Nestle suspended capital investment in russia due to its invasion of Ukraine.
