Turkish president announces new talks with Zelensky and putin

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced new negotiations with the presidents of Ukraine and russia.

He said this on Friday, Anadolu reports.

"Turkey's diplomatic efforts on Ukraine are based on the idea that there can be no winners in war and no losers in the world," Erdogan emphasized.

Erdogan noted that the war between russia and Ukraine is associated with severe political, economic, and humanitarian damage to the entire world. According to him, Turkey firmly supports the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

At the same time, Turkey spoke out against inciting contradictions in the region through "unthinkable policies towards the russian federation," Erdogan said.

He announced that on Sunday, December 11, he would negotiate with the russian president, vladimir putin, on the grain corridor.

A conversation with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, is also planned, Erdogan said.

As Rubryka reported, Turkey continues to make efforts to hold a meeting between the presidents of Ukraine and russia, believing that they can make a decision about "just peace."

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu stated this in Tokyo, where he arrived for the funeral of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. He also expressed his belief that there are no winners in war, and as soon as both sides realize this, they can return to the negotiating table.
