They are not out of Iranian drones: Ukraine’s military spokesperson on why russia suspended drone attacks

Do not think that when the enemy does not attack with a certain weapon, it is out of it. First of all, the russian invaders could retain Iranian drones for the task of "consolidating strikes" on Ukrainian infrastructure.

Rubryka informs about this, referring to the head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, Natalia Humeniuk, on the telethon air.

"These are weapons (Iranian drones – ed.) that the enemy still has, and one must realize that the absence of strikes does not always characterize the end of these weapons," Humeniuk said.

The head of the coordinating press center explained that the russian troops choose tactics to influence different areas:

• open areas of the front,
• the population,
• rear regions.

"In particular, they kept these drones, probably, for "consolidating strikes" on the infrastructure. They continue the methods of man-made terror and try to create an energy crisis in Ukraine.

That is why they direct weapons such as missiles, but they are more expensive, so they also use drones.

We warned that the enemy is trying to study and exhaust our air defense, which does not allow them to carry out their terror according to calculations fully," Humeniuk concluded.

It will be recalled that Yevheniy Sylkin, spokesman for the commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for strategic communications, assumed that russia had suspended the launch of Iranian Shahed-136 kamikaze drones. All because of the cold weather, which negatively affects the materials from which the drones are made.

As Rubryka wrote, this night on December 7, the russian invaders used Iranian Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones during an air attack on Ukraine for the first time in the last three weeks.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, over the past day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down 17 russian drones, including 14 Shahed-136 drones.

However, the General Staff later officially confirmed the downing of 14 drones.

Given this, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that frost does not affect the use of Iranian kamikaze drones.
