Development specialists of one of the enterprises of the Ukroboronprom defense company have created a prototype product for burning SF-1 metal, which looks very much like a pencil.

Rubryka reports, referring to Ukroboronprom.

What is the problem?

As a result of russia's aggression, about 30% of the territory of Ukraine has been mined today, which is approximately the size of two territories of Austria.

Earlier, the Ukrainian authorities stated that Ukraine would need more than a dozen years to demine and destroy all explosive objects.

What is the solution?

In his speech, the President of Ukraine stated that Ukraine could not wait a decade to demine territories liberated from the enemy.

Some countries began to help with equipment and send instructors to Ukraine.

Ukroboronprom did not stand idle either. Specialists have developed a device that burns the metal walls of projectiles and explosive objects.

How does it work?

"Thanks to its exothermic powder mixture, it effectively burns the metal casings of explosive objects, for example, ammunition.

This causes the explosive to burn out. Such a pencil can be used during demining of territories," the department emphasized.

Developers are already working on the technology of remote use of the SF-1 air defense system with the help of unmanned aerial vehicles.

This will improve the quality of demining and save people's lives. The device must be safe to use."

The company developing the pencil is an operator of mine countermeasures in Ukraine and has received a certificate that gives the right to carry out demining and other operations with explosive objects on the territory of our country.

To recap, the volunteers of the Ivano-Frankivsk coordination center #SaveUkraineNow bought and handed over mine-resistant spider boots to the special demining forces.
