russian army shells Kherson after retreat – UK intelligence

Kherson, liberated by Ukrainian troops on November 11, is bombarded daily by russian artillery, particularly from the Grad multiple-rocket launching system.

The UK's Ministry of Defense announced this on Twitter on Monday, citing intelligence.

As noted, only on November 24, 10 people died in the city. On November 27, 54 shellings were registered in this area.

The British Ministry of Defense notes that the city is vulnerable because it remains within the range of most russian artillery systems, which are now firing from the eastern bank of the Dnipro River from behind newly fortified defensive lines.

"Much of the damage is likely being inflicted in Kherson by Russia's use of multiple rocket launchers, principally BM-21 Grad systems," the summary says.

As reported, on November 11, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Kherson had returned to control of Ukraine. After retreating from the city, russian troops continued to shell it from the left bank of the Dnieper.

Currently, Kherson has started to be connected to the energy supply. Critical infrastructure facilities and two hospitals have already been supplied with electricity.
