Ukrainian intelligence conducted space reconnaissance of 150 areas of russia's occupying troops locations
The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense conducted a space radar reconnaissance of about 150 areas where enemy troops are located. Intelligence was conducted both in Ukraine's temporarily occupied territories and the invader's territory and its allies.
The press service of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense reported this.
This became possible thanks to cooperation with the Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation, which put the ICEYE satellite at the disposal of Ukrainian intelligence officers, as well as contractual access to the database of the SAR satellite constellation.
The message reads: "In general, thanks to the project in which a large number of Ukrainian patriots took part, about 2,600 pieces of military equipment have been identified and confirmed, particularly: tanks, self-propelled guns, BBMs, helicopters, Iskander OTRK, S-300 air defense systems, ZRGK "Pantsir-S1″, enemy radars, pontoon crossings, boats and tents in the locations of enemy units.
The data obtained with the help of the satellite made it possible to effectively determine the hidden location of the enemy in forest stands, in any weather, and at night."
