President of Ukraine signed law on creation of fund for armed aggression consequences liquidation

President Volodymyr Zelensky signed draft law No. 8027 on the creation of a fund for liquidation of the consequences of armed aggression in the 2022 Budget

RBC-Ukraine reports this.

The publication refers to the Telegram of Yaroslav Zhelezniak, the first deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Tax and Customs Policy.

"The President signed draft law No. 8027 on the creation of a fund for liquidation of the consequences of armed aggression in the 2022 budget," the People's Deputy said.

We will remind you that the parliament adopted the relevant draft law on October 19.

The law stipulates that all funds from the nationalization of russian assets will be directed to a special fund.

And then, they will be used in agreement with the profile committee of the Verkhovna Rada in certain areas. At the same time, the deputies refused to primarily direct these funds to support the Armed Forces.

In particular, funds from the fund will go to:

  • construction of public buildings,
  • reconstruction,
  • overhaul of critical infrastructure facilities related to the provision of services
  • water supply, drainage, and heat supply.
  • restoration and overhaul of buildings to provide housing for IDPs and persons who lost it as a result of the armed aggression of the russian federation, as well as the purchase of housing for such persons.

Funds will also be allocated for the development of:

  • project documentation for objects that were destroyed as a result of the armed aggression of the russian federation,
  • purchase of computer and multimedia equipment (which was destroyed, damaged, or stolen) for educational institutions located in the territories affected by the armed aggression of the russian federation.

The authors of the draft law plan to attract 20 billion from the nationalization of russian assets to fund the fund in 2022.

As Rubryka wrote, on November 16, President Volodymyr Zelensky held another meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, at which decisions were made regarding the further de-occupation of our territories.
