Netherlands assured of unwavering support until Ukraine's victory — MFA

The Netherlands considers it its duty to support Ukraine to victory in the war against russia and to help bring to justice those guilty of crimes of aggression against our country.

This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Wopke Hoekstra, at a joint press conference with the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, in Kyiv, Ukrinform reported.

"putin can and should stop this war. But if he doesn't, I am convinced that our duty is to help Ukraine in its fight for freedom… We have to help you win and also bring to justice those who committed this aggression. These are our universal values. War criminals worldwide should be held accountable for their crimes, and they are not here," Hoekstra said.

He welcomed the "very good news about the liberation of Kherson" and assured that the Netherlands would provide support to the Ukrainian side as much as necessary, providing military and humanitarian aid.

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands also paid tribute to the victims of the Holodomor.

"Today, we visited the Memorial, where the memory of millions of Ukrainians is immortalized. And there was a mention of another dictator who weaponized food and fought with hunger against other nations," he stated.

As reported, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba and Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin discussed with the head of Dutch diplomacy, Wopke Hoekstra, holding russia accountable for crimes against Ukraine.
