Finland intends to join "grain initiative"

The Government of Finland allocated 7 million euros to participate in the transportation of grain from Ukraine within the framework of the UN World Food Program

This is written by Rubryka, referring to the Finnish media outlet Yle.

The outlet said that the funding is allocated as part of Finland's aid package in the amount of 15.7 million euros to the countries of the Horn of Africa.

It should ensure the transportation of a ship with Ukrainian grain to Somalia.

"The supply of grain from Ukraine to the countries of the Horn of Africa must continue, and we support the World Food Program in this," the Minister of Development and Foreign Trade of Finland Ville Skinnari added.

As noted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland, more than 20 million people in this region need food aid. And these countries are especially dependent on grain imports, particularly from Ukraine.

The other day, the President of Finland, Sauli Niinisto, explained his thoughts about negotiations with putin regarding peace in Ukraine.

In addition, Finland is considering additional restrictions on real estate transactions for russian citizens, including a complete ban on ownership.

Even earlier, Finland seized the assets of russians worth almost 190 million euros. Finnish online stores also refuse to sell goods to russians.
