Ukraine’s NSDC Secretary calls on West not to waver with arms supplies

At a time when NATO members are debating whether to provide additional military aid to Ukraine, the country is defending the Alliance's eastern border and suffering huge human losses

This was stated by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Oleksiy Danilov, in an interview with The Globe and Mail, Rubryka reports.

"If someone in some capital is considering whether we should receive extra military support or not, I would like to underline that at this very moment, putin's modern fascists are killing our citizens.

Military, civilians, and, most horrifically, they kill our children. Not everyone in the world is taking that seriously enough," Danilov emphasized.

At the same time, the Secretary of the National Security Council did not specify which countries have not yet decided on the need to provide additional support to Ukraine.

Danilov also did not name specific weapons that the Armed Forces of Ukraine lack.

"We need all types of weapons," he emphasized.

The Secretary of the National Security Council said that the West should increase its military support to Ukraine, proportional to the help that moscow's allies, particularly Iran, provide to russia.

Danilov emphasized that Iran supplies russia with huge amounts of military aid – especially many Shahed drones.

They are the ones that have been used to attack power plants and other civilian infrastructure over the past month.

"Military support from Ukraine's allies is perhaps not corresponding to the scale of the challenges we might face in the future," he added.

Even in the event of a difficult winter due to russian attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure, Ukraine will still continue to advance on the battlefield and will liberate captured territories, Danilov emphasized.

As Rubryka reported, NASAMS air defense systems and Aspide anti-aircraft missile systems arrived in Ukraine this week.

Also last week, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, announced a new package of military aid from Spain.

It includes the battery of the Aspide anti-aircraft missile system and its missiles, four Hawk air defense systems, anti-tank missile systems, guns, and shells for them.
