President Volodymyr Zelensky participated in the 27th UN Conference on Climate Change and proposed to create a platform for assessing climate damage from the war.

This is stated in the video of Zelensky's speech.

"This russian war has brought about an energy and food crisis. In less than six months, it destroyed three million hectares of forest in Ukraine! We are forced to find out every day what the situation is at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant – the largest in Europe. Are there no radiation leaks there? The russian army turned this nuclear plant into a de-facto military training ground…

I suggest that you all support our initiative, which is presented here at the Conference, namely the creation of a global platform for assessing the damage to the climate and the environment from military actions," the President of Ukraine said.

It is noted that about 100 leaders of states and governments are participating in the event this year.
