President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky made a speech at the 34th award ceremony of the National Constitutional Center and thanked for the honor of being awarded the Medal of Freedom

Rubryka writes about this, referring to the OPU press service.

"It is a great honor to be awarded the Medal of Freedom, which was presented to me by Senators Chris Coons and Rob Portman during their visit to Kyiv.

This award really reflects how and for what the Ukrainian people are fighting for. Freedom is the main word for us. This is what unites all Ukrainians.

Thank you for your support – to President Biden, to both parties of Congress, and to every American! Know that you support not just a state or a leader – but millions of people who, like you, value freedom.

I decided to send the award, which accompanies the Freedom medal, to help Ukrainian veterans. Namely, for the reconstruction and renovation of the rehabilitation center for veterans in the city of Borodyanka, Kyiv region of Ukraine. Let everything bring our victory closer!" the Head of State emphasized.

"Millions of people are fighting and working to protect Ukraine. These are very different people. Immediately after russia's invasion, they all decided the same for themselves: we are here, and we will not surrender our freedom.

And I believe that this Medal of Freedom is for all the men and women of Ukraine who, after February 24, showed the world's largest autocracy that an inevitable defeat awaits it in Ukraine," Zelensky emphasized.

The President called on the American people to maintain unwavering support for Ukraine until the day when we can fully restore the territorial integrity of our state.
