Zelenska urged IT specialists to help Ukraine at Lisbon technology conference
In Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, First Lady Olena Zelenska had the honor of opening the most significant European technology conference, Web Summit 2022, during which she called on IT specialists from all over the world to help Ukraine
Rubryka writes about this, referring to Olena Zelenska's Facebook page.
"A kamikaze drone, which recently targeted a Kyiv house, killed a young Ukrainian man and his pregnant wife. Meanwhile, russian IT specialists are directing russian weapons at civilian targets, killing and maiming Ukrainian adults and children daily.
The full-scale war that russia has unleashed against us is, in particular, a war of technologies that the aggressor uses to kill us.
I talked about this to an unusual audience for me — IT specialists from all over the world who gathered in Lisbon at the most significant European technology conference, Web Summit 2022," the president's wife said in the message.
Zelenska also emphasized that she "gladly accepted the invitation to open this event because it is up to its participants to determine in which direction technological developments will move the world. They will support russian terror or stop it; they will help save people and civilization."
During her speech, the first lady called on those present to "help life, not murder. Therefore, help Ukraine."
The first lady gave an example from the field of prosthetics. Today, according to her, this is also "true high technology." The First Lady emphasized Ukraine's great need for prostheses for people who lost limbs due to russian shelling.
"We need powerful cyber security, the stability of all our digital systems. And we need technologies for recovery because we have already begun to rebuild the country," the president's wife emphasized.

Zelenska thanked the World Health Organization (WHO) for assistance in preparing this visit.
She emphasized that she believes that the future lies in technologies that work for, and not against, life.
"Because otherwise, there is simply no future in the whole world," Zelenska added.
