New package of military aid from Spain is already on its way to Ukraine — Ukraine's foreign minister
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, announced a new package of military aid from Spain, which includes a battery of the Aspide anti-aircraft missile complex and its missiles, four Hawk air defense systems, anti-tank missile systems, guns and shells for them.
He stated this at a joint briefing with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of Spain José Manuel Albares Bueno in Kyiv, Ukrinform reports.
"We worked with José Manuel and our colleagues from other departments for a long time to ensure that Ukraine receives a new package of military aid from Spain as soon as possible. I am very glad that the new package is available, it is already on its way to Ukraine, and in the near future, our state will strengthen its defense capability by receiving a battery of the Aspide anti-aircraft missile system, and its missiles, four Hawk air defense systems, anti-tank missile systems, guns and shells for them, as well as other military equipment," he noted.
The head of Ukrainian diplomacy noted that Spain's decision to hand over Hawk systems for several weeks was a signal for other countries to start looking for Hawk systems for their transfer to Ukraine, and thanked the country and Minister José Manuel for quick decisions and setting an example.
