Canada to produce 500,000 winter clothing sets for Ukrainian defenders

The Canadian government will do everything possible to involve its defense industry in the production of the necessary equipment for Ukraine.

Canada's Defense Minister Anita Anand stated this, Ukrinform reports.

"Canadian defense companies make high-quality equipment, and as we see, they continue to step up their efforts to help Ukraine. We will continue to identify Ukraine's needs and work together with industry to ensure that Ukraine gets what it needs," Anand said.

She emphasized that the volume of direct Canadian military aid has already exceeded 600 million dollars and includes the newest armored vehicles.

"At a time when Ukraine needs it, we strive to send it the best equipment," the minister noted.

Anand added that Canada has already concluded contracts with suppliers who will manufacture 500,000 sets of military winter clothing, which will later be handed over to Ukrainian defenders.

"Ukraine will win this war, and in the meantime, Canada will continue to provide support in the short, medium, and long term, no matter how long it takes. The Canadian government is committed to this," she assured.
