This is evidenced by the results of a national survey conducted by the Razumkov Center as part of a project with the support of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation representative office in Ukraine.
The results of the survey were presented during a press conference in Ukrinform.
Andrii Bychenko, director of the sociological service of the Razumkov Center, said that, according to the survey results, more than 80 percent of the surveyed citizens currently trust the President of Ukraine. More than 90 percent — the Armed Forces.
"There has never been such high trust in the Armed Forces of Ukraine – more than 95 percent. This, to some extent, confirms the opinion about the reasons for optimism in society, one of which is the activity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine itself. A very high level of trust in the President – more than 80 percent. In general, conducting surveys after the beginning full-scale invasion of the russian federation, we notice an increase in the level of trust in virtually all state institutions. The balance of trust and distrust can be different. But still, the level of trust is higher than, say, a year ago," Bychenko stated.
Also, according to the survey, 78 percent of Ukrainians currently trust humanitarian and charitable organizations. There is also an increase in the level of trust, Bychenko added.
People's deputy of Ukraine, Rostyslav Pavlenko, explained this trend.
"These results show that society quite objectively assesses the fact that not only was Kyiv not taken there in three days, but also that victory will be achieved. The President represents the entire state, but in many ways, this trust refers to the President's institutions. Another aspect is, of course, the media picture. Because there is no criticism, there is no political discussion. All channels, even those that are not part of the single marathon, avoid burning criticism and put more emphasis on the fact that now victory is necessary," Pavlenko said.
The Razumkov Center conducted the nationwide survey as part of a project supported by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation office in Ukraine from September 22 to October 1, 2022.
The face-to-face survey was conducted in various regions of Ukraine, in the Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, and Kharkiv regions, only in those territories controlled by the government of Ukraine and where hostilities are not taking place.
2021 respondents over the age of 18 were surveyed. The sampling error does not exceed 2.3%.
