Johnson plans to promote “Marshall Plan” for Ukraine on international stage — media

Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is considering the possibility of creating a new organization to support Ukraine and rebuild the war-torn economy.

The Telegraph writes about it.

In a conversation with the publication, one of Johnson's friends called it "Marshall's plan for Ukraine." He is sure that "Boris will attract a lot of money" from private donors.

Johnson has reportedly opened an office in Westminster from which he hopes to launch a foundation.

Johnson became very popular in Ukraine thanks to his support for Kyiv during his tenure as British Prime Minister.

Earlier this week, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that the reconstruction of Ukraine would be a complex project "for generations." Still, it is also an opportunity to make it more advanced and modern than before the war, combining this process with the approach to joining the European Union.

At the international conference in Berlin, the position document "Restoration of Ukraine" was presented — the example was the Marshall Plan for the reconstruction of West Germany after the Second World War with the help of the USA.
