Starlink will work in Ukraine regardless of Pentagon's funding – Musk
Starlink terminals, which help the Ukrainian military maintain communication in the combat zone, will operate in Ukraine regardless of the readiness of the US Department of Defense (DoD) to provide funding.
The founder of SpaceX terminal manufacturer Elon Musk wrote about this on Twitter.
"Before DoD even came back with an answer, I told [Ukraine's digital minister] Mykhailo Fedorov that SpaceX would not turn off Starlink even if DoD refused to provide funding," he wrote.
In response, Fedorov noted that Musk had assured him that Starlink would continue to operate in any case. "This was critically important for Ukraine. We are grateful to you!" Fedorov wrote.

The US Department of Defense received a request from SpaceX founder Elon Musk to finance the Starlink satellite communication network used in Ukraine.
The day before, CNN reported that Elon Musk's company asked the Pentagon to take over the financing of Starlink satellite communication complexes in Ukraine, on which the communication of the Ukrainian military in the combat zone is very dependent.
Musk later confirmed this information and hinted that he was offended by the Ukrainian ambassador Andrii Melnyk, who sent him after Musk published the "peace plan" in English.
At the same time, the CNN article states that the corresponding letter from the company to the Pentagon was sent in September, while the wave of anger over Musk's proposal to make concessions to the russian federation regarding Ukraine occurred in early October.
