Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has held a phone call with IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, stressing that Ukraine will do everything necessary to successfully complete the current IMF monitoring program and move to the new one as quickly as possible.

Тhe head of state said this on Twitter.

"Continued dialogue with IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva. Thanked for $1.3 billion in emergency aid. Assured that Ukraine will do everything to properly pass the IMF monitoring program & move on to the new one ASAP," he said.

Zelensky also emphasized the importance of a donor coordination platform for Ukraine.

Ukraine in October received $1.3 billion in additional emergency financing from the International Monetary Fund.

On October 12, Zelensky called on the international community to create a new format of financial support for Ukraine, similar to the one created in Ramstein for defense assistance. He also noted that he and the IMF chief had discussed the need to create a permanent working group that would deal with issues of financial support to Ukraine and work promptly at the levels of international donors and countries participating in this assistance.

Georgieva said the IMF supported such an initiative.
