Ukrainian Headway app became finalist in best Europe's startups competition
Headway entered the shortlist of The Europas Awards and became the only Ukrainian startup in the EdTech category. The winners will be announced on November 1 at the Web Summit conference in Lisbon.
Headway creates EdTech products that help millions of people develop through concise educational content: summaries, courses, games, and infographics. The main product is the Headway app. It contains 15-minute text and audio summaries of non-fiction bestsellers, as well as daily insights and gamified challenges. Headway is the world's leader in downloads in the book summary niche.
With the start of a full-scale war, the application became free for Ukrainians. About 140,000 Ukrainian users have already downloaded it.
"Headway, which Ukrainians created, won a place in the Hottest EdTech category and continues to compete with the best European startups. In the era of smartphones and lack of time, we help busy people to develop themselves easily and with pleasure. I am proud of our team's results and the fact that this year we will also represent Ukraine at the Web Summit," CEO and founder of Headway Anton Pavlovsky comments.
The Europas Awards is the main award for Europe's most popular technology startups, founded in 2009 by TechCrunch editor-in-chief Mike Butcher. The award's mission is to draw attention to those European technological startups that solve actual, urgent, and global problems of the 21st century.
