Real recycling: Kharkiv residents weave camouflage nets for Ukrainian army from russian occupiers' uniform
Fleeing from the Ukrainian Armed Forces counteroffensive in the Kharkiv region, the russian military left behind weapons and equipment and many sets of uniforms.
Volunteers of Hell's Kitchen quickly found a use for it, not letting enemy rags litter Ukrainian land.
All trophy clothing is cut into thin ribbons. Then the volunteers weave camouflage nets, which faithfully serve Ukraine's armed forces. There was no shortage of materials because, after the liberation of each settlement from the russian occupation, a lot of new "material" appeared.
"The guys came to us and said: let's bring you a Moscow uniform. First, it's cotton, and it doesn't melt but smolders. Second, this uniform has a suitable camouflage color," says volunteer Liudmila.
This way, it is possible to help our soldiers clean the environment. Cutting the russian uniform also serves as a beautiful meditation for volunteers.
