Zelensky urged to prepare for electricity blackouts and water supply cut off throughout Ukraine

Constant missile attacks on the energy system of Ukraine by the occupying forces can lead to power and water outages throughout the country

"We have a critical situation across the country now. We have one region dependent on another… That's why we need to prepare for the possibility of a power outage, as well as water supply or heating," he emphasized.

Tymoshenko emphasized that energy infrastructure facilities were damaged today due to rocket attacks.

"First of all, in the Zhytomyr region, one of the facilities was destroyed," he said.

The official also added that there is currently no electricity or water in Zhytomyr.

"A large facility in the energy sector was hit in Kyiv. A lot of things were destroyed at this facility.

Currently, there is no water and electricity supply in Troeshchyna and some areas of the city," Tymoshenko emphasized. He also added that water and electricity would be restored soon.

According to him, "there will be difficult times in the near future" and possible power outages in Ukraine.

DTEK reported that on October 18, Russian troops fired again at two energy enterprises of DTEK Energo. As a result, one person died, and six were injured.
