Ukraine withstands russia's missile attack on its energy
The Ukrenergo gives up emergency blackout schedules in Ukraine.
Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, the chair of the Ukrenergo company that manages Ukraine's electricity network, reported this on Facebook.
It happened, first, thanks to stabilizing the electricity supply.
"Yesterday evening, dispatch restrictions were not applied in Kyiv, the region, and the entire central area. Restrictions were lifted in the northeastern parts of our country from 7:55 p.m.
Today, neither in the morning nor in the evening, we plan the introduction of emergency shutdown schedules.
This became possible because:
- First, the Ukrenergo and Oblenergo specialists stabilized the energy supply in all regions of Ukraine.
- Second, Ukrainian citizens, particularly residents of the center of Ukraine, used electricity sparingly in the evening. For which we are very grateful to them.
Together, we withstood probably the most significant missile attack on the energy infrastructure in history," Kudrytskyi said.
At the same time, the head of the board reminds Ukrainians to be ready for new russian missile attacks.
The company also noted that Ukrenergo, the transmission system operator, is doing everything to protect its infrastructure and restore it quickly.
The recommendation remains for everyone to reduce consumption during peak load periods in the power system: in the morning from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and in the evening from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m, and not ignore the air raid sirens.
"Rocket attacks push us to develop a habit of responsible electricity and gas consumption.
Therefore, as before, we recommend, if possible, transferring the use of powerful electrical appliances to the night hours, when the energy system's consumption level is the lowest.
This will help us stabilize the energy system and safely pass the heating season this winter," Kudrytskyi summarized.
